The owner of Sparky’s Vintage is the last of several family lines. As a result, I have acquired many antiques and other treasures. I hope they will find good homes where they will be loved and passed along to other generations.

The family name is Sparks, shortened from Sparrowhawk when the first of this name emigrated from England. My line came to Kentucky, before Kentucky was a state, and stayed there.

My paternal grandmother was Margaret Sparks and many of her friends called her Sparky. The Gold “S” pin (the logo) was her only piece of jewelry, given to her by her husband, Charles.

The parent company is Sparrowhawk Solutions, Ltd., founded in 1981 and incorporated in 1983. It was one of the first to provide software for the new (1981) Personal Computers, advertising in the Personal Computer Magazines of the time. The owner was actually on the cover of one issue of PC Magazine.
